James L Jordan Memorial

James L Jordan Memorial

A few years ago, I was chatting with a coworker about what she should do with all of her late mother's old costume jewelry. I suggested she decorate a picture frame with her favorites and put a photo in the frame of her mother. She thought it was a great idea, but didn't really know where to begin with such a project. I asked her if she would be comfortable letting me put the frame together and the following day she came into work with a jewelry box. That was the first memorial frame I did, and I wish I had taken a photo. It was a really beautiful piece.

I've made a few frames since then (again, never taking photos!) and a different coworker recently asked if I would make them memorial frame, but this time the family wanted the obituary included. The deceased spent a lot of time in both California and Vermont, and the family also wanted that reflected in the piece. This is the result of their request. I'm really proud with how it came out and I hope it brought the family some peace.
