Allie & Ryan’s Wedding

Our dear friend Allie and Ryan got married on October 10, 2020! I hemmed about a mile off of Allie's wedding dress and just had to make some accessories for her out of the remaining material.

I also made the bride two masks out of different material, as she didn't want a white mask, but I neglected to take photos of them. Whoops!

Pup Pouches

The couple planned on having their two dogs as their ring bearers so Allie requested I make a couple of pouches to attach to their collars. I used some of her dress material for the body and the loop to attach the pouch to the collar, and the lining of the dress as the lining of the pouch. I had some white and silver ribbon in my stash and sewed a piece inside each of the bags so the rings could be tied into place (just in case the dogs shook or god forbid ran off). There were a few rhinestones left over from where I took up the shoulders of her dress, so I wanted to incorporate them into the pouches and thought paw prints would be the cutest way! I bought some larger rhinestones for the paw pads and used the rhinestones from the dress as the toes.

Regrettably, after many wedding site adjustments and switch-a-roos due to COVID, the pups ended up not being able to attend the ceremony, but the pouches were fun to make anyway.

Bridal Handbag

All brides need pockets, but rarely are they a possibility in wedding dresses, so a handbag must be employed. This simple drawstring bag was made from the dress fabric and I had the silver craft cord in my stash, but I found this BEAUTIFUL silver lace applique and just HAD to use it! I strategically placed the lace and hand stitched the applique, carefully cutting away the netting as I went. I added a few purple-ish beads to reflect the brides purple-streaked hair.
